The hydraulic cylinder rod seal, also abbreviated as hydraulic rod seal or hydraulic cylinder seal, is often installed in the dust seal inside the hydraulic cylinder end cap. Acting as one of the primary pressure bearing components, the hydraulic rod seal prevents the hydraulic oil from leaking, and this means the rod seals hold compression force in the cylinder by preventing fluid from leaking out.
